Firm Founder & President
After completion of his first two years of college, Steve became the youngest (at that time) branch manager of a small loan finance company in the Midwest. His experience in the finance business evolved into becoming the company's "troubleshooting" manager in the states of Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
During the Vietnam era, he served in the US Army as a Counter-Intelligence Agent in Europe.
After completing Army service and after a short return to the finance business, Steve completed his education at the University of Tampa, in Tampa, Florida with a BS in Accounting and minors in Finance and Economics. After graduation, he earned his CPA license and currently maintains a Florida CPA certificate (#15954) and an Indiana CPA Certificate (#5735).
Steve worked as a staff accountant for firms in Florida and in Indiana. He became a partner in a local firm in LaPorte, Indiana. Eventually, Steve and his family decided that Florida was the place they wanted to live, so he sold his partnership interest in the LaPorte firm. Steve then created the firm of Stephen A. Macy, CPA in Cape Coral, Florida in July, 1985. Eventually that firm was incorporated into Stephen A. Macy, CPA, PA and relocated to the Tampa Bay area. In June, 2002, Steve reopened a second office in Cape Coral.
Steve has had many successes over the years and has attained a wealth of experience and knowledge to share with his clients. His clients respect the way he listens to them, gets a "feel" for their business operations and concerns, formulates a plan for success, and continues to advise and assist them as they implement the plan. Steve's clients also appreciate his straight-forward manner and openness.
With over 30 years of assisting small businesses, Steve's broad range of experience is invaluable to the firm's clients as they create their business successes.
